Threats, malware, and attack techniques
Indicators of Compromise
Indicators of compromise (IOCs) are pieces of digital evidence, such as data found in system log entries or files, that identify a potential breach of a system or network. By monitoring for indications of compromise, organizations can detect attacks and act faster to prevent breaches from occurring or limit damages sooner. IOCs can be shared within the cybersecurity community to better understand a particular malware’s techniques and behaviors.
