Impersonation Attack

An impersonation attack is a type of fraud where an attacker pretends to be a known or trusted person in order to steal sensitive information or trick someone into transferring money. The most common impersonation attack types include phishing, a form of email impersonation attack where attackers pose as banks or legitimate organizations to obtain credit card numbers or login credentials.
