Extended detection and response (XDR) is a solution that connects various security data, including an organization’s endpoints, network analysis and visibility (NAV), email security, identity and access management, cloud security, and more, in order to optimize threat detection, investigation, response, and hunting in real time. XDR security solutions evolved from EDR (endpoint detection and response), which only focuses on endpoint data.
