BEC (business email compromise)

Business email compromise (BEC) is a type of cyber attack where attackers gain access to a business email account, using it to impersonate someone and trick people or other organizations into taking harmful actions. One type of business email compromise attack is CEO fraud, where attackers pose as the CEO or another executive to obtain fraudulent wire transfers, financial information or login credentials.
